Man O' War Estate Sauvignon Blanc vineyards are all elevated hillside vineyards exposed to the cooling sea breezes and grown on volcanic influenced soils. The fruit is all dry grown and hand harvested before being gently hole bunch pressed. The juice is racked clear and fermented with cultured yeasts, filtered and bottled in the winter.
Tasting Notes
The 2022 Estate Sauvignon Blanc has complex aromas of Thai lime, tropical fruits and freshly picked herbs. The palate is fresh and vibrant with a delicious balance of texture and structure. The flavour profile is similarly in the herbaceous spectrum with black current leaf, nettles and a fresh citrus finish. A style of Sauvignon Blanc that is unmistakably rom New Zealand which showcases its coastal surrounds with a wonderful freshness, you can almost taste the salt air.
