Mahi, meaning 'our work, our craft', was established in 2001, fulfilling a long-held dream. After 15 vintages working for others, the founders decided it was time to pursue their own vision. With a strong focus on single-vineyard wines - now complemented by a range of premium regional wines from Marlborough - the philosophy behind Mahi is to respect and highlight the individuality of each vineyard site.
The Mahi symbol represents the strength, life, and growth of the native New Zealand fern (frond), reflecting the belief that wine should never be rushed to bottle, but allowed to evolve naturally over time.
Tasting Notes
Elegant in structure showing green melon and citrus peel aromas. Creamy in the midpalate giving weight and texture, with the acidity assisting the linearity and length.
