Double barrel is finished in aged whiskey barrels for a richer, deeper, and smoother taste.
The Double Barrel range is crafted from superior quality grapes which are first matured in traditional wine barrels. Then, using our unique Double Barrel technique, they are finished in aged whisk(e)y barrels to build additional layers of complexity.
Aroma and Palate: A complex nose of enticing rich aromas, such as toffee, crème caramel and honeycomb, enhanced by cedar and nutmeg spice. The dark chocolate of the Shiraz is joined by rich cassis from the Cabernet Sauvignon, with waffle-cone vanilla and finished with silky, mouth-filling tannins.
Food Match: Beef ribs, marinated and slowly roasted over coals, or marinated beef or lamb cooked on the BBQ.
