Cabernet Sauvignon is gaining renewed interest from Hawke's Bay. As warmer, low vigour soils have been explored and planted, and viticultural techniques improved, the quality of Cabernet Sauvignon in our region has improved dramatically, and is attracting international attention.
Tasting Notes The Church Road 1 Cabernet Sauvignon 2021 leads with beautifully ripe blackberry, bramble fruit and fragrant cassis, with lifted aromatic hints of sandalwood, cedar, lavender and thyme. The palate is medium to full-bodied but retaining excellent freshness and structure.
Cellaring Expect this wine to to mature gracefully for 15 years or more from vintage date.
