The nose is peaty, iodized, fresh, medicinal, with slight hints of bousin and wet grass.
On the palate, peat is always present. But it's fresh too, slightly tart, we find a hint of apple and honey, a slight taste of iron.
The finish is almost sparkling, peppery without being too much. It's not long in the mouth.
It is a wonderful base from which to go further in the Islay. The price-quality ratio is in my opinion excellent.
