Little Giant Shiraz is crafted from fruit sourced from select premium vineyards of both the Barossa Valley and Eden Valley. Picked in the cool of the morning to retain freshness, the fruit is de-stemming and fermented in stainless steel tank. The wine then spent nine months in used large format French and American oak barrels to build structure whilst softening the palate and develop flavour complexity without
overt extraction of oak characters.
Tasting Note
The Barossa Valley is typified in the aromas of this wine: plum, red licorice, chocolate and mocha characters whilst the addition of spicier more elegant fruit of the cooler Eden Valley adds lift, interest and freshness. This is a contemporary Barossa Shiraz having spent maturation time in older oak adding subtle vanilla and earthy nuance. There’s softness on the finish while maintaining freshness and vibrancy. Pair with a porterhouse steak with peppercorn sauce.
