Aged for 15 years in oak barrels, this pitch from Dimple Whisky is a scotch any whisky lover will not want to miss out on. Not because having a bottle like this is something to be proud of; not because it appeared in TV Series, but because its flavour and body will blow the mind of anyone who drinks it.
The blend for this scotch is composed mainly by Glenckinchie, which gives Dimple Whisky 15 years a smoother, but also richer, taste. When tasting this blend, one should smell notes of spice and caramel, as well as taste balanced flavours that go from honey and toffee, from smoky to the oak flavour. It has a short finnish.
Tasting Notes
Nose: Demerara sugar, pears, dried apricots, peaches, pineapple, flowers, honey, malt, allspice, cafe latte, a little soap, with deep nosing the grain shows as in neutral alcohol.
Taste: Silky smooth arrival, fruity and sweet, peaches, (dried) apricots, dark malt, demerara sugar, a hint of grassy notes, a bit thin with a light body.
Finish: Sweet, malty, demerara sugar, a little woody bitterness, eventually neutral grain alcohol, really short.
