An exceptional whisky matured in American white oak ex-bourbon casks, aged Tawny Port pipes and casks, exclusive to The Dalmore, which have held 30 year old Matusalem oloroso sherry.
Wearing proudly the 12-pointed stag of the McKenzie Clan is The Dalmore 25 Year Old, aged first in American White Oak before a finishing in a combination of Palomino Fino Sherry and First-Fill Bourbon Casks then married for a final ageing in tawny port. This is rich, sweet and full-bodied with vanilla, toffee and orange breakfast marmalade.
First released in 2013, the Dalmore 25 is matured initially in American white oak before a second maturation in a combination of Palomino Fino sherry butts and first fill bourbon casks. These are then married together in bourbon barrels before a finishing period in Tawny Port pipes.
Tasting Notes
The Aroma: Exotic fruits, citrus, vanilla pods, treacle toffee and fig cake.
On the Palate: Madagascan vanilla pods, thick treacle toffee and chocolate truffles.
Finishing Notes: Maple syrup, dark chocolate and spiced gingerbread.
