Lothlorien started in 1971 when a group of young idealist brought a 100 acre dairy farm in Ahuroa Vallye, just north of Auckland, and started planting orchard trees. The next generation had the idea to make wine from feijoa crops. Lothlorien Winery was born in 1993, making refreshing feijoa sparkling wine. Sustainability has always been a core value to Lothlorien's winemaking. They are currently fully certified with Organic Farm NZ.
